How to pitch a brand
A pitch that gets answered does four things in about a hundred words: it names the brand, shows the fit, states the full price, and makes the next step easy. Here is the structure, then a full example in it.
The four beats
- Greeting, on its own line. The brand's name and nothing else competing with it. A pitch that opens with your life story has already lost the skim.
- The fit, in one paragraph. What you make, who watches, and the one reason this brand belongs in it. Specific beats flattering: name the product line, the routine, the series.
- The numbers, in bullets. Deliverables with prices, usage as its own line, one total. Brands forward pitches internally; bullets are what survives the forward.
- One next step. A start date, a first cut, an easy yes. Not three questions and a calendar link.
A full example pitch
A skincare creator pitching a brand she already uses. The numbers are the worked example used across BravoDM (the 25k to 50k band, priced in the rate card guide). Swap in your own audience line and your own card's numbers.
Hi team,
I make skincare routine videos: honest wear tests, routines my audience saves, and reviews that say the quiet part out loud. Your products sit exactly in the routine my viewers ask me to test next.
I would love to make the first piece for you. My rate for the package:
- 1 Reel: $700
- 1 Story set (3 frames): $300
- 90 days of usage rights on the Reel: $450
- Total: $1,450
If the package works, I can have a first cut to you within a week of the product arriving. Happy to start with this one piece and build from there.

Notice what is not in it: no life story, no follower-count bragging, no discount offered before one was asked for, and no usage buried inside the posting fee. The price is the whole price, so the reply can be about the work. Inside BravoDM, Find brands drafts this pitch per brand from your rate card and you send it yourself: start free, and price any counter-offer with the free pricing calculator.
Pitching questions
What goes in a brand pitch?
Four beats, in order: a greeting that names the brand, one short paragraph on the fit (what you make, who watches), your numbers (deliverables with prices, usage priced separately), and a simple next step. Two or three short paragraphs plus a bullet list for the deliverables and rates. Anything longer gets skimmed.
How long should a pitch be?
Eighty to one hundred twenty words is the working range BravoDM drafts to. Long enough to name the fit and the full price, short enough to read in one screen of a DM thread.
Should the first pitch include the price?
Yes, the full price, with usage as its own line. A pitch that hides the price trades one short negotiation for a long one, and the deals that die quietly usually die on a number that arrived late.
