Brand pitch DM template
A DM pitch has one screen to work in. It names the brand, proves the fit in one breath, states the full price with usage as its own line, and ends with one easy next step. Copy it, fill the brackets, and keep it under 120 words.
When to use it. Use this when a brand follows you, posts a creator call, or you are opening the conversation yourself on Instagram. For a cold email with more room, the email pitch template is the longer sibling.
The DM pitch
Hi [Brand] team, I make [what you make] for [your audience, in a few words]. Your [product or line] is exactly what my viewers ask me to test next, and I would love to make the first piece for you. My rate for the package: • 1 Reel: $[rate] • 1 Story set (3 frames): $[rate] • 90 days of usage rights on the Reel: $[rate] Total: $[total] If the package works, I can have a first cut to you within [days] days of the product arriving. Happy to start with this one piece and build from there.
The same pitch, filled in (Priya's published example)
Hi team, I make skincare routine videos: honest wear tests, routines my audience saves, and reviews that say the quiet part out loud. Your products sit exactly in the routine my viewers ask me to test next. I would love to make the first piece for you. My rate for the package: • 1 Reel: $700 • 1 Story set (3 frames): $300 • 90 days of usage rights on the Reel: $450 Total: $1,450 If the package works, I can have a first cut to you within a week of the product arriving. Happy to start with this one piece and build from there.
The short follow-up (if the pitch goes quiet for a week)
Hi [Brand] team, floating my pitch back up in case it got buried. Still happy to make the first piece, and my rates above hold through [date]. If the timing is off, tell me when to check back and I will.
Make it work
- Personalize the greeting for real: name the brand, and let the fit paragraph mention one true thing (a product you used, a launch you saw). A pitch that could go to anyone goes to no one.
- State the full price in the first pitch, usage included as its own line. Prices that arrive late kill deals quietly.
- One next step, stated once. Two calls to action split the reply you get.
