Buyout
A buyout is a single payment that buys the brand unlimited use of your content: no time limit, no renewal, no coming back to ask. Brands use the word when they want every right settled in one number.
What it means for your money
A buyout is the most expensive form of usage there is, because you can never license that content again and never renegotiate its price. Before accepting one, price the longest term you would sell, and remember the buyout has to beat it, not match it.
How the pricing model treats it
BravoDM's pricing model has no separate buyout button. A buyout is its longest usage term, the one labeled Forever, priced like this:
Forever usage: 300% of the video content price. It is the model's highest usage line, because the permission never ends.
These are the model's own terms, from BravoDM's published pricing model (version 1.1, October 2026), the same source the free calculator runs. They are a model's starting point, not a market promise.
In practice
- ·Ask what the brand actually plans: most buyout asks are a long campaign wearing a bigger word.
- ·A long fixed term with a renewal is often the steadier counter, for you and for the brand.
- ·A buyout signed in a chat message is still a buyout. Treat the word with care wherever it appears.
An example
Offered a buyout, the steadier counter is often a long fixed term at a real price, with the brand free to renew when it ends. They get the years they actually plan to use, and you keep the right to price the next term.
