Glossary
Exclusivity
Exclusivity means that for a set period, in a set category, you will not work with the brand's competitors. The category and the end date are part of the term; without both, it has no edges.
What it means for your money
Every rival deal you turn away while exclusivity runs is income given up, so exclusivity is priced as its own line, on top of the content. A narrow category for a short period costs little. A wide category held for a season can cost more than the post itself.
How the pricing model treats it
BravoDM's pricing model prices exclusivity as a percentage of the content price, by term:
| Term | Model price |
|---|---|
| No exclusivity | 0%: no exclusivity |
| 30 days | 25% of the content price |
| 90 days | 60% of the content price |
These are the model's own terms, from BravoDM's published pricing model (version 1.1, October 2026), the same source the free calculator runs. They are a model's starting point, not a market promise.
In practice
- ·Pin the category in words a stranger could apply: the product type, not a mood.
- ·Pin the end date. Exclusivity with no end date is a debt with no schedule.
- ·Exclusivity that starts at the post date and exclusivity that starts at signing are different lengths. Say which.
An example
If a skincare brand books you exclusively for a season, the rival skincare brand that writes to you in week two gets a no. That no is part of what the first brand is buying, and it belongs in the price.
