Paid usage vs organic posting
Organic posting means the brand shares your content on its own pages, to its own followers, with no ad money behind it. Paid usage means the brand puts money behind the content as advertising, shown to people who follow neither of you.
What it means for your money
The two are different products. An organic repost borrows your content for the brand's own feed. An ad turns your content, and often your name, into the brand's sales pitch at a scale your feed never reaches. An agreement that says only social use leaves the expensive half undefined.
How the pricing model treats it
In BravoDM's pricing model, the usage line is the paid half: it prices the brand's right to use your video content, and whitelisting prices the through-your-handle form on top of it. Organic reposting is not a model line; if you grant it, bound it with a term, like the rest of the usage.
In practice
- ·Name both halves in the agreement: organic posting, and paid usage, each with its own yes or no.
- ·Ask whether boosted posts count as paid usage in this deal, and write the answer down.
- ·Organic use with no term is still open-ended. Give it the same end date as the rest of the deal's usage.
An example
The same Reel can live three lives: on your page, reposted on the brand's page, and running as an ad to strangers. The first is your post. The second is a repost. The third is advertising, and it is priced like advertising.
