Raw footage
Raw footage is the unedited video you shot: the clips before cutting, captions, music, and polish. Handing it over gives the brand your outtakes and your unfinished work, not just the finished piece.
What it means for your money
Raw footage is a separate item from the finished video. Brands ask for it so their own editors can cut new versions, which makes it valuable in a way a single finished post is not. If it is included, it is included on purpose, as part of the deal, never as a free extra discovered at delivery.
How the pricing model treats it
The pricing model does not price raw footage on its own. BravoDM's deal desk records it on the deal instead, as a plain yes or no: whether raw footage is part of this deal, settled before delivery day.
In practice
- ·Settle raw footage in the agreement, not in the delivery message.
- ·Usage terms still govern what the brand may cut from your raw footage, and for how long.
- ·Outtakes include the takes you rejected. If some footage is off limits, say so in writing.
An example
A finished video shows the brand one polished minute. The raw folder behind it can hold every angle and every take, enough for the brand to build posts you never saw. That is why raw footage is its own item, with its own yes.
