Revision rounds
Revisions are the changes a brand can ask for after seeing your draft, counted in rounds. One round is one full set of feedback, gathered into one message, which you answer with one new version.
What it means for your money
Unlimited revisions can turn a one-day job into a week of re-filming, so the number of included rounds belongs in the agreement, and rounds past that number are extra work at an extra price. The count protects you more than the word reasonable ever will.
How the pricing model treats it
The pricing model does not price revisions; no honest model can price a brand's indecision. BravoDM's deal desk tracks them on the deal instead: the rounds the deal includes, and how many have been used, so the record matches the agreement.
In practice
- ·Put a number on the rounds included, and a price on rounds past it, before filming starts.
- ·Define a round in the agreement: one gathered set of feedback, not a stream of single notes.
- ·A change of mind about the concept is not a revision. It is new work, and it prices as new work.
An example
A brand that sends one list covering the caption, the opening line, and one re-take has used one round. The same notes arriving one per day for a week are still one round, when your agreement says a round is one gathered set of feedback.
